What is Thermal Destratification in buildings?
There are many products available to reduce energy in buildings, reducing the buildings carbon footprint resulting in lower utility bills. Thermal Destratification is an option that can be installed in new builds and in existing buildings.
Thermal Destratification occurs in all buildings and can result in major temperature differences between the ceiling/roof space and the floor. This is because hot air rises causing the cold air which is heavier, to fall to the floor. When this happens, the heating system cycles through power on and off more often in order to maintain the temperature.
Destratification fans are heat recovery units that move hot air from under the roof of high buildings to floor level. Destratification fans recover heat, reduce fuel consumption and save energy. Click here for video demonstration.
